Fundraising and the choice of charity for each year is done by the Brother that takes the role of PGP (Provincial Grand Primo). This year – 2022 – the honour falls to Bro Peter Tetley ROH and his chosen charity is Macmillan nurses.

In 2020 – Bro Phillip Briscal KOM raised £4,100.00 for the Hope Street Trust Grimsby in what was a very difficult year due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

In 2018 – Bro John Rogers ROH raised £9,722.80 for local charities that help people with alzheimer’s and is still fund raising for The Health Tree Foundation, regularly raising more than a £100 on a weekend.  Bro John Rogers ROH can often be found on a Saturday or Sunday at his local chip-shop collecting.

In 2013 – Bro Peter Sargent ROH PPGP Spire Lodge 8056 raised over £14,000.00 for the stroke unit at Grimsby Princess Diana Hospital. A very proud moment as Bro Peter is a third generation PGP in the province following in his fathers footsteps Bro Brian Nigel Sargent ROH PPGP Spire lodge 8056 in 1991 with a wish to raise a £1,000.00 pounds for St Andrews hospice which at the time some Brothers said could not be done. He proved them wrong, and then Peters Grandfather Bro Alan William Sargent ROH PPGP in 1972 bro Alan form St Margaret’s lodge Grimsby province, Bro Alan passed away shortly after the end of his year as PGP having done most of the year not telling any one he had been diagnosed with terminal cancer just after been elected to the role of PGP.
